در بهار ۲۰۲۵، باشگاه تراکتور، باشگاهی ریشه‌دار در قلب آذربایجان جنوبی (شمال‌غرب ایران) با دو بازی باقی‌مانده، قهرمان لیگ برتر ایران شد. پیروزی ۴-۰ برابر شمس آذر قزوین نمایشی قاطع و فراموش‌نشدنی بود. اما برای میلیون‌ها تورک آزربایجانی در سراسر ایران، این فقط یک موفقیت ورزشی نبود، بلکه عملی تاریخی برای  احقاق هویت فرهنگی و سیاسی بود.

از «قهرمانی ربوده‌ شده» تا رستگاری

مسیر سفر ۵۵ ساله تراکتور تا این قهرمانی، معمولی نبوده است. بارها با جنجال‌ها و تبانی‌های بسیار، جلوی رسیدن این تیم به جایگاه شایسته‌اش را گرفتند. در سال ۲۰۱۵، تراکتور تنها چند دقیقه با قهرمانی فاصله داشت. در حالی که ۳–۱ از نفت تهران پیش بود و هواداران در ورزشگاه پر از تماشاگر سهند تبریز جشن می‌گرفتند، به نظر می‌رسید قهرمانی قطعی است. سپس مجموعه‌ای از تصمیمات داوری مشکوک (از جمله یک کارت قرمز مشکوک و نادیده گرفتن پنالتی برای تراکتور)، بازگشت مشکوک تیم حریف و—بدنام‌تر از همه—اعلام نتیجه‌ی اشتباه بازی همزمان سپاهان- سایپا که باعث شد بازیکنان و هواداران زودتر از موعد جشن بگیرند، همه چیز را تغییر داد. بسیاری بر این باورند که این قهرمانی دزدیده شد نه فقط از یک تیم، بلکه از یک ملت.

این واقعه تبدیل به نماد بی‌عدالتی‌ای شد که بیش از یک قرن پیش آغاز شده بود؛ سیاست‌های شووینیستی- (فاشیستی) حکومت فارس‌محور ایران در حذف زبان مادری، هویت‌زدایی و اعمال کنترل مرکزی بر ملل غیرفارس،زخمی که سال‌ها در حافظه جمعی آذربایجانی‌ها باقی ماند تا به امروز.

قهرمانی زیر نگاه‌های ناظران بین المللی

با توجه به نظارت ویژه فیفا در فصل ۲۰۲۴–۲۰۲۵ به دلیل اتهامات قبلی در زمینه تبانی و دخالت‌های سیاسی، این بار میدان بازی منصفانه‌تر بود یا دست‌کم، عادلانه‌تر. تراکتور با تاکتیک‌های هوشمندانه و حمایت بی‌وقفه هواداران، فصل را با سلطه کامل پشت سر گذاشت.

وقتی قهرمانی قطعی شد، فقط نتیجه بازی مهم نبود. برای هواداران در تبریز، اورمیه، اردبیل، زنگان و فراتر از آن، این لحظه‌ای از احقاق عدالت (هرچند با تأخیر) و غرور ملی بود. شعارهای تورکی آزربایجانی در ورزشگاه‌ها، خانه‌ها و فضای مجازی طنین انداخت : «قَلَبَه بیزیمدیر!»  پیروزی از آنِ ماست.

چرا رژیم نگران است

با وجود پیام‌های تبریک از سراسر جهان، باشگاه‌های خارجی و سیاستمداران کشورهای همسایه، مقامات تهران در سکوت مانده‌اند! این قهرمانی، نه بخاطر نتیجه بلکه بخاطر احیای هویت ملی تورکی- آزربایجانی آن، موجب نگرانی مرکزگرایان فارس محور شده است. تراکتور همواره با هویت آزربایجانی گره خورده؛ بستری برای مطالبه حقوق زبانی، فرهنگی، خودمختاری ملی و حتی استقلال.  هواداران بارها پرچم آزربایجان را به اهتزاز درآورده، شعارهای سیاسی سر داده‌اند و ورزشگاه‌ها را به میدانی برای اعتراضات مدنی مسالمت‌آمیز تبدیل کرده‌اند.

در سال ۲۰۱۳،هواداران تراکتور یک بنر بزرگ را در ورزشگاه تبریز بالا بردند که بزبان انکلیسی نوشته بود: "South Azerbaijan is not Iran" «آزربایجان جنوبی ایران نیست» طنینی پرقدرت از شعار «کاتالونیا اسپانیا نیست». این قیاس سطحی نیست؛ همان‌طور که بارسلونا نماد هویت کاتالان‌هاست، تراکتور نیز نماد هویت سرکوب‌شده‌  تورکهای آزربایجانی است که در میادین عمومی خود را نشان می‌دهد.

اکنون با پیش‌بینی جشن‌های گسترده در تبریز( و سراسر ازربایجان)، رژیم با هشدارهای امنیتی واکنش نشان داده است. از جمله احتمال برگزاری بازی پایانی بدون تماشاگر یا دیگر محدودیت‌ها.  بسیاری این را تلاشی دیگر برای سانسور دیده شدن آزربایجانی‌ها در سطح ملی می‌دانند.

فراتر از یک باشگاه

قهرمانی تراکتور در سال ۲۰۲۵ تنها برای یک جام نیست. این لحظه‌ای از عزت جمعی برای بیش از ۳۵ میلیون تورک آزربایجانی است که سال‌ها در انتظار به رسمیت شناخته شدن غرور ملی خود به‌عنوان یک ملت پویا و توانمند بوده‌اند. در کشوری که صدای غیر فارسها اغلب نادیده گرفته یا سرکوب می‌شوند، این پیروزی همچون نمادی درخشان از قدرت مردمی را به نمایش می‌گذارد.

همان‌طور که یکی از هواداران در مرکز تبریز، با پرچم قرمز تراکتور در دست، گفت:

«ممکن است نگذارند در بازی پایانی حاضر شویم و جشن بگیریم، اما نمی‌توانند این احساس را از ما بگیرند. این پیروزی از آنِ ماست و تاریخ آن را به یاد خواهد داشت.»

  Over hundred thousands of Tractor FC’s fans celebrate the championship in Sahand Stadium in Tabriz.

In the spring of 2025, Tractor FC—a club rooted in the heart of South Azerbaijan(north west of Iran) —clinched the Iran's Pro League title with two matches to spare, defeating Shams Azar Qazvin 4–0 in a decisive, unforgettable performance. But for millions of Azerbaijani Turks across Iran, this wasn’t just a sports triumph. It was a historic act of cultural and political vindication.

From a "Stolen Title" to Redemption

Tractor FC’s 55 years journey to this championship has been anything but ordinary. So much controversy and match fixing  prevented Tractor FC from reaching its fair standing.  In 2015, Tractor came within minutes of winning the league. With a 3–1 lead over Naft Tehran FC and jubilant fans in a sold-out Sahand Stadium in Tabriz, it seemed the title was theirs. Then came a storm of controversial refereeing decisions (including a dubious red card and penalty denial) shifted momentum, a suspicious comeback by the opposing team, and—most infamously—false announcements that misled players and supporters into celebrating a victory that  never had a good official outcome. Many believe the title was stolen—not just from a team, but from a people.

This event became a symbol of a deep injustice that began more than a century ago, exemplifying the Iranian Persian state's chauvinistic policy of marginalization, central manipulation, and prohibition of the native language, erasing the identity of the Azerbaijani Turks. It left a wound that festered in memory—until now.

A Championship Under Watchful Eyes

With FIFA monitoring the 2024–2025 season closely due to previous accusations of match-fixing and political interference, this time the playing field was level—or at least closer to it. Tractor’s domination throughout the season was undeniable, their tactics sharp, their support unwavering.

When they sealed the title, it wasn’t just the scoreboard that mattered. For fans across Tabriz, Urmia, Ardabil, Zanjan, and beyond, it was a delayed justice, a moment of national pride. Chants in Azerbaijani Turkish echoed in stadiums, homes, and online spaces: “Qələbə bizimdir!” (Victory is ours).

Why the Regime Is Uncomfortable 

Despite congratulatory messages pouring in from all over the world, football clubs, and neighboring counties politicians, Tehran's officials remain silent! This championship has sparked discomfort in Tehran—not because of the result, but because of what it represents. Tractor is deeply entwined with Azerbaijani identity, often used as a platform to demand linguistic rights, cultural recognition, as well as re-establishing the national government and independence.

In 2013, a large banner was held up by people at Tabriz Stadium, boldly declared: "South Azerbaijan is not Iran"—a powerful echo of "Catalonia is not Spain." This comparison is not superficial. Like FC Barcelona in Catalonia, Tractor has become a symbol of suppressed identity asserting itself in the public square.

Now, with mass celebrations expected in Tabriz, the regime has responded with calls for "security precautions", including the possible ban on fans ( play without spectators) or other limitations of the final home match. Many see this as yet another attempt to silence Azerbaijani visibility—not just on the field, but in the nation’s consciousness.

More Than a Club

Tractor FC’s 2025 title is more than a football trophy. It’s a moment of collective dignity for over 35 million Azerbaijani Turks who have waited years to see their pride recognized as a vibrant and powerful nation. In a country (Iran) where minority voices are often dismissed or punished, this victory shines as a rare and radiant act of people-power.

As one fan put it, waving a red Tractor flag in downtown Tabriz:

"They may stop us from attending and celebrating the final match, but they can’t stop this feeling. This win is ours—and history will remember."

In spring 2025, Tractor FC—a football club from Iran’s Azerbaijani-majority region—clinched the national championship, marking more than just a sports milestone. For over 35 million Azerbaijani Turks in Iran, it was a moment of collective dignity and delayed justice.

This title follows decades of marginalization, match-fixing scandals, and systemic suppression. In 2015, Tractor was famously denied a league win under suspicious circumstances that many still consider politically influenced. The memory became symbolic of the broader oppression of the Azerbaijani identity in Iran—through language bans, cultural erasure, and lack of political representation.

Tractor FC has become more than a team—it is a vessel for peaceful resistance, echoing the role of FC Barcelona in Catalonia. Fans often wave Azerbaijani flags and chant in their native language, turning stadiums into arenas of cultural defiance. Unsurprisingly, officials in Tehran remain silent on this year’s win, wary of what it represents: a renewed call for visibility, dignity, and rights.

With FIFA closely monitoring the season and fair play finally appearing possible, Tractor’s win stands not only as a sporting achievement, but as a defiant statement by a people long denied recognition. This victory, as one fan said in Tabriz, “belongs not just to a team, but to a nation.”

این عنوان پس از دهه‌ها به حاشیه رانده شدن، رسوایی‌های تبانی و سرکوب سیستماتیک به دست آمد. در سال ۲۰۱۵، تراکتور به طرز مشکوکی با تبانی و داوری پر اشتباه که بسیاری هنوز آن را تحت تأثیر سیاسی می‌دانند از کسب پیروزی در لیگ برترمحروم شد.  این خاطره به نمادی از ظلم گسترده‌ تر به هویت آزربایجانی در ایران - از طریق ممنوعیت زبان، حذف هویت فرهنگی و عدم نمایندگی سیاسی تبدیل شد.

با توجه به اینکه فیفا از نزدیک این فصل لیگ بشدت را زیر نظر دارد و بازی جوانمردانه بالاخره امکان‌پذیر به نظر می‌رسد، قهرمانی تراکتور نه تنها به عنوان یک دستاورد ورزشی، بلکه به عنوان یک بیانیه جسورانه از سوی مردمی که مدت‌ها از به رسمیت شناختن آن محروم بودند، محسوب می‌شود. همانطور که یکی از هواداران در تبریز گفت، این پیروزی «نه تنها متعلق به یک تیم، بلکه متعلق به یک ملت است».
